Play Music Through Your LED Light Bulb (We Can’t Make This Stuff Up)

Who says a man can’t multi-task?

Let me introduce you to GlowPlay, the LED light bulb that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. Now that’s how you multi-task in the man cave. Are we right? We picture Matthew McConaughey saying “Alright, alright, alright” and wanting one too (get in line, Matt, we saw it first).

How does GlowPlay work? Glad you asked. Just screw the light bulb into a standard socket and turn it on via a switch, pull string, or the included remote. We like having it in as a recessed light in the ceiling, but it could also be fun in a lamp. GlowPlay will automatically start to play music off of whatever device you sync it to, like your trusty iPhone or another gadget that supports Bluetooth. There’s no app to download or shady third-party software either.

Stream and play your favorite tunes. We’re partial to Detroit Rock City by KISS, but you pick what you are in the mood for (no judgement if your setlist includes Adele). As long as the device you connect to for the music is within 30 feet of the speaker, you’re good to go. Link your GlowPlay to your laptop, tablet, or PC in just a few minutes. And the sound quality is great.

Oh, and while you have the remote out, you can also adjust the brightness of the light, change tracks, control volume, and skip songs. Use the remote quickly to turn off the smart bulb when you’re heading out for the day or when you feel a snooze coming on while lounging in your crib. Mute the speaker when you just want the LED light bulb without the musical accompaniment.

Just like with a regular LED bulb, you get lighting that’s easy on the eyes and a whole lot of hours of use. GlowPlay provides more than 50,000 hours of illumination and music. It measures 7 inches long, with a 4.6-inch diameter. Not that size matters, right? Except that, it does when it comes to lighting.

Okay, now we’re off to shine some light and twerk it like Miley. Don’t be a hater.
